14 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS FOR COVID-19 IN COUNTY

14 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 3,460. Of those, 3,295 are people that have received positive test results and 165 are presumptive. There have been 73 deaths. 19 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 9 locally and 10 outside the area. 188 people are in isolation. 462 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 650 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is an increase of 49 people since Monday.

The update said as of Monday, 51.4 percent of eligible residents age 16 and older have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. That means at least 48,756 residents have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That includes 1,135 new vaccinations since last week for residents age 16 and older. 291 vaccinations were given to residents age 12-15 in the past week.
