Wednesday was the hottest day of the year so far, in Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 87 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for the date was 90 degrees, which was set in 1953.

Medford’s airport got to 90 degrees. Though not a record for the date, it was the first high in the 90s for Medford in 2021.
