COVID-19 CLAIMS 4 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,353, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 4 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,353, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 393 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 160,622. The new cases include:

*66 in Multnomah County

*45 in Washington County

*44 in Marion County

*42 in Jackson County

*25 in Josephine County

*22 in Coos County

*21 in Clackamas County

*19 in Benton County

*16 in Douglas County

*12 in Lane County

*11 in Deschutes County

*10 in Linn County

*7 each in Lincoln and Yamhill counties

*6 in Umatilla County

*5 each in Crook, Curry and Klamath counties

*4 in Polk County

*3 each in Baker, Tillamook and Union counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Grant, Malheur and Wasco counties

*1 each in Columbia, Jefferson, Morrow and Wallowa counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 44 to 79. 1 each lived in Klamath, Marion, Linn and Lane counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 116, which is 8 more than on Wednesday. There are 38 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 9 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 49,166 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of those, 18,412 doses were administered on Wednesday. 30,764 were administered on previous days but were added into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 1,412,232 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,797,545 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
