MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED STRANGULATION INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged strangulation incident on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 9:45 a.m. officers investigated a disturbance in the 2900 block of West Lorraine. During the investigation it was discovered that 25-year old Gerardo Ibanez-Salinas allegedly restricted the breathing of a child and also struck and choked a female victim.

Ibanez-Salinas was detained for two counts of felony strangulation and for fourth degree felony assault. He was held on $150,000 bail.
