GLIDE WOMAN HURT IN HEAD ON COLLISION

A Glide woman was hurt in a head on collision on Monday night.

A Roseburg Police report said at 6:20 p.m. the 20-year old was heading east on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. An 18-year old heading west on the road stopped at the intersection with Northeast Rifle Range Road. That driver reportedly started to turn let, but failed to yield to traffic, resulting in the collision. The report said both vehicles were totaled.

The eastbound driver said her foot hurt extremely bad, so was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where she was treated and released according to a hospital spokesperon. The other driver said she was not injured.

The driver who caused the wreck was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and for operating a motor vehicle in violation of restrictions. She reportedly had a permit and not a license to drive.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
