COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,208, as of Saturday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 455 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 155,315. The new cases include:
*73 in Washington County
*67 in Jackson County
*43 in Marion County
*42 in Coos County
*35 in Clackamas County
*32 in Multnomah County
*29 in Lane County
*16 in Douglas County
*14 in Deschutes County
*13 in Columbia County
*12 each in Polk and Umatilla counties
*9 each in Josephine and Linn counties
*7 each in Benton and Malheur counties
*6 each in Baker and Yamhill counties
*5 in Klamath County
*4 each in Jefferson and Hood River counties
*3 in Union County
*2 each in Curry and Lincoln counties
*1 each in Lake. Morrow and Wasco counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 61 to 92. One each lived in Jackson and Josephine counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 148, which is 4 fewer than on Friday. There are 31 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 fewer than on Friday.
OHA reported that 32,288 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 24,926 doses were administered on Friday. 7,362 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 943,692 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,194,495 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
