COVID-19 CLAIMS 32 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,194, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 32 more lives, raising the state’s total to 2,194, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 437 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, raising the state total to 154,062. The new cases include:

*55 in Multnomah County

*41 in Washington County

*38 in Clackamas County

*33 each in Marion and Lane counties

*28 each in Douglas and Deschutes counties

*27 in Jackson County

*22 in Benton County

*20 in Josephine County

*16 in Coos County

*15 in Umatilla County

*11 in Polk County

*10 in Columbia

*8 in Crook County

*7 in Jefferson County

*6 each in Baker, Clatsop, Linn and Yamhill counties

*5 in Morrow County

*4 in Klamath County

*3 each in Malheur and Tillamook counties

*2 in Lincoln County

*1 each in Curry, Sherman, Union and Wasco counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 162, which is 3 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 46 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 more than on Tuesday.

OHA reported that 22,406 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 14,502 doses were administered on Tuesday. 7,904 were administered on previous days but were added into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 858,481 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,133,695 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
