DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR SNAP RECIPIENTS TO REQUEST FOOD REPLACEMENT

SNAP recipients living in one of the nine counties who experienced a food loss or had to destroy food due to the recent power outages can apply for replacement food benefits.

A release from the Oregon Department of Human Services said replacement benefits are available for regular and emergency SNAP allotments.

Counties with an extended deadline include: Benton, Clackamas, Hood River, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Yamhill and Washington.
