A female transient was jailed for resisting arrest, third degree escape, and for warrants that were out for her arrest, on Saturday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 9:30 p.m. a sedan was spotted parked in the middle of the 200 block of Harmony Lane in Green, with its lights off. The report said as a deputy drove closer the vehicle pulled into a nearby driveway, still with its lights off. A male passenger exited the vehicle. The female passenger followed and attempted to run away.

The deputy caught up with the woman after a short distance. She allegedly actively resisted arrest for a short time but was eventually detained. 22-year Sarah King was taken into custody. A loaded syringe full of methamphetamine was allegedly located in the vehicle.

King was detained without bail.
