JUVENILE CITED AFTER ALLEGEDLY MAKING A THREATENING STATEMENT

A 14-year old male juvenile was cited by Roseburg Police Monday, accused of making a threatening statement, in a disorderly conduct incident.

An RPD report said the male allegedly posted a realistic looking pellet gun on his Twitter feed, accompanied by a statement threatening to shoot up his school in Camas Valley. The report said the male admitted to making the post and said he had no intent or desire to harm anyone. The report said the he claimed to have made the post as a result of school related stress.

The report said the teen does not have access to firearms and his room was searched, with no firearms or accessories located.

The male was cited for first degree disorderly conduct and was released after being contacted at around 7:40 p.m.
