COVID-19 CLAIMS NO MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL REMAINS AT 2,149, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed no more lives, with the state’s death toll remaining at 2,149, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 492 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 152,190. The new cases include:

*61 in Multnomah County

*54 in Washington County

*52 in Jackson County

*42 in Marion County

*38 in Lane County

*27 in Clackamas County

*26 in Coos County

*25 in Benton County

*23 in Josephine County

*21 in Douglas County

*15 in Polk County

*12 each in Columbia, Umatilla and Yamhill counties

*11 in Deschutes County

*10 in Klamath County

*8 each in Curry and Linn counties

*6 in Malheur County

*5 each in Jefferson and Morrow counties

*4 in Union County

*3 in Harney County

*2 each in Baker, Hood River, and Wallowa counties

*1 each in Lincoln, Tillamook and Wasco counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 176, which is 6 more than on Thursday. There are 49 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 fewer than on Thursday.

OHA reported that 25,866 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 18,710 doses were administered on Thursday. 7,156 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 755,657 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 922,300 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
