COVID-19 CLAIMS NO MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL REMAINS AT 2,137 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed no more lives, with the state’s death toll remaining at 2,137, as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 254 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 150,281. The new cases include:

*46 in Multnomah County

*32 in Lane County

*29 in Washington County

*22 in Deschutes County

*21 in Marion County

*17 in Douglas County

*11 each in Coos, Jackson and Clackamas counties

*7 each in Josephine, Klamath and Linn counties

*6 in Yamhill County

*5 in Harney County

*3 each in Benton and Crook counties

*2 each in Columbia, Jefferson and Wasco counties

*1 each in Lincoln, Morrow, Polk and Union counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 213, which is 3 fewer than on Saturday. There are 52 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 more than on Saturday.

OHA reported that 7,206 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 4,028 doses were administered on Saturday. 3,178 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Saturday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 677,194 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines, To date, 885,250 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
