COVID-19 CLAIMS 43 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,137, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 43 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,137, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 474 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 150,034. The new cases include:

*74 in Multnomah County

*52 in Lane County

*51 in Washington County

*33 in Jackson County

*30 in Marion County

*25 each in Douglas and Clackamas counties

*22 in Deschutes County

*20 in Coos County

*19 each in Josephine and Benton counties

*16 in Polk County

*15 in Umatilla County

*14 in Yamhill County

*13 in Linn County

*10 in Columbia County

*5 each in Jefferson and Union counties

*4 each in Lake and Morrow counties

*3 each in Crook, Klamath and Malheur counties

*2 each on Hood River and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Baker, Curry, Lincoln. Wallowa and Wasco counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 216, which is 14 more than on Friday. There are 49 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 20,386 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 11,783 doses were administered on Friday. 8,603 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.

Oregon has now administered a total of 669,988 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 885.250 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
