STATE SECOND HIGHEST DAILY NUMBERS FOR DEATHS AND CASES OF COVID-19

On Saturday. the Oregon Health Authority reported the second highest daily number of deaths and second highest daily number of cases of COVID-19, since the pandemic began.

OHA announced 24 more deaths, raising the state death toll to 1,027. 1,847 new confirmed and presumptive cases brought the state case total to 83,243. The new cases include:

*312 in Washington County

*193 in Marion County

*135 in Lane County

*86 in Jackson County

*84 in Klamath County

*80 in Clackamas County

*78 in Deschutes County

*62 in Linn County

*47 in Umatilla County

*43 in Malheur County

*38 in Yamhill County

*34 in Josephine County

*33 in Polk County

*27 in Wasco County

*25 in Columbia County

*23 in Douglas County

*21 in Benton County

*20 in Jefferson County

*18 in Coos County

*14 each in Crook and Hood River counties

*11 each in Lincoln and Union Counties

*9 in Baker County

*7 in Clatsop County

*6 in Tillamook County

*4 in Lake County

*2 in Harney County

*1 each in Curry and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 59 to 97. They lived in 12 different counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon decreased by 1 to 556. There are 118 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, 3 more than on Friday.
