A Days Creek man was arrested on a firearms charge and for other counts on Thursday.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in September, deputies obtained information that a dog had been illegally shot and killed by 48-year old Michael Antoci at Pachamama Farm, in the 1000 block of Woods Creek Road, around November of 2019.

O’Dell said upon further investigation, information was obtained that Antoci, the owner of the farm, is prohibited from possessing firearms. Additional investigation revealed that the man had several firearms in his possession and had used them for various purposes.

Deputies executed a search warrant at the farm and seized several firearms and discovered stolen property valued at over $1,000, resulting in additional charges.

Antoci was jailed for being a felon in possession of a firearm, first degree counts of animal abuse, aggravated animal abuse and theft. He was released from custody on Friday.
