Detectives with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Roseburg area man on charges of invasion of personal privacy.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell said on Thursday DCSO took a report that hidden cameras had been discovered in the bedroom of a minor female known to the suspect, 48-year old Robert Roady.

O’Dell said deputies conducted interviews and served a search warrant at Roady’s residence in the 2000 block of Linnell in Green. Detectives found evidence pertaining to the investigation in the home, according to O’Dell.

Roady, a police officer with the Roseburg Veteran’s Administration, was contacted and interviewed by detectives. O’Dell said the suspect admitted to placing the cameras in the room of a 14-year old for sexual purposes. Through the investigation, two additional minor victims were identified and additional evidence was discovered.

Roady was held on nine first degree counts of the charge. Bail was set at $450,000.

Detectives are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call DCSO at 440-4458.
