COVID-19 TIE FOR HIGHEST DAILY DEATH COUNT ON THURSDAY

On Thursday, the Oregon Health Authority reported that the state tied for the highest daily death count for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

11 new deaths were reported, which ties the number from August 11th.

That raises the state death toll to 646. 373 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported, bringing the state total to 40,810. The new cases include:

*81 in Multnomah County

*59 in Washington County

*37 in Marion County

*31 in Jackson County

*29 in Lane County

*25 in Clackamas County

*18 in Malheur County

*13 each in Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*10 in Wasco County

*8 in Douglas County

*6 each in Benton, Crook, Linn and Union counties

*4 in Yamhill County

*3 each in Clatsop, Harney, Josephine, Klamath and Polk counties

*2 each in Coos, and Jefferson counties

*1 each in Columbia, and Hood River counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 94. 3 lived in Malheur County. 2 lived in Multnomah County. 1 each lived in Baker, Lane, Linn, Washington, Douglas and Umatilla counties
