COVID-19 CLAIMS 8 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL TO 627, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state death toll to 627 as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 266 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 39,794. The new cases include:

*68 in Multnomah County

*40 in Lane County

*39 in Marion County

*25 in Washington County

*24 in Clackamas County

*18 in Jackson County

*15 in Deschutes County

*9 in Umatilla County

*8 in Coos County

*5 each in Malheur and Yamhill counties

*3 in Polk County

*2 in Crook and Linn counties

*1 each in Douglas, Josephine, and Tillamook counties

The new deaths range in age from 61 to 91. 3 each lived in Lane and Multnomah counties with 1 each in Umatilla and Washington counties.

OHA has submitted its draft plan to the federal government for allocating and distributing a COVID-19 vaccine in Oregon, once a safe and effective vaccine becomes available.
