The Oregon Department of Forestry is closely monitoring 10 major fires in Oregon, down from 17 originally.

On Monday, ODF released its latest report and fire map. Fires are removed from the list when they are 100 percent lined and fire managers are confident in their progress towards containment.

The report said there have been more than 7,500 personnel assigned to these fires, not including many of the government employees, land owners, forest operators, and members of the community who are contributing every day. It said there have been resources from 39 states and multiple Canadian providences in this fight alongside Oregonians.

Around 1 million acres have burned in Oregon since the start of this year, which is nearly double the 10-year average of approximately 557,811.

Along with the Archie Creek and Thielsen fires burning in Douglas County, the other fires include:

*Lionshead, 20 miles west of Warm Springs. It has burned over 198,000 acres and is 13 percent contained.
