295 NEW CONFIRMED AND PRESUMPTIVE CASES OF COVID-19 IN OREGON AS OF FRIDAY

The Oregon Health Authority reported 295 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Oregon, as of Friday.

That means the state’s death toll remains at 521 while the case total is now at 30,342. The new cases include:

*56 in Multnomah County’

*51 in Marion County

*36 in Washington County

*28 in Clackamas County

*20 each in Lane and Malheur counties

*14 in Jackson County

*7 each in Deschutes and Morrow counties

*5 each in Douglas, Linn and Yamhill counties

*4 each in Benton and Polk counties

*3 each in Clatsop and Wasco counties

*2 each in Coos, Jefferson, Klamath, and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Baker, Hood River and Lake counties

The update said the wildfires and subsequent poor air quality have deceased availability of community COVID-19 testing, but it is unclear what effects the evacuations and the poor air quality might have on COVID-19 transmissions and symptoms, according to the OHA.
