ROSEBURG LIBRARY IN PHASE TWO OF REOPENING

July 14, 2020 10:00 a.m.

The Roseburg Public Library is in phase two of its reopening process.

The library is now open on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 8;00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A limited number of volunteers can now work in the library again during hours it is not open. Donations will be accepted.

The schedule will continue until July 25th with the library expanding its hours beginning July 28th.

Library Director Kris Wiley said they are taking a cautious approach to reinstituting services, which gives them the opportunity to assess the opening of community space. Other changes include:

*In-person children’s programs are not being hosted for now. Library staff are hosting a virtual story time weekly via Facebook.

*The Ford Room and two multipurpose rooms are available for public use. Capacity is capped at 25 for the Ford Room and 3 in each multipurpose room.

*Only 6 public computers are available for use. Patrons who want to use a computer are limited to one hour per day.

*Computers in the children’s and teen rooms are unavailable.

*Lobby restrooms remain closed and water fountains are turned off.

Drive-up pickup service will continue. Each Thursday patrons can pick up reserved books from the safety of their vehicles, at the library parking lot between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
