Con-Vey Holdings has announced the creation of a new robotics and automation company called 7robotics.
A release said as a longtime integrator for robotic and automated systems in the wood products industry, Con-Vey’s background and expertise acted as a springboard for 7robotics to enter into new markets and processes.
CEO Dave Larecy said Con-Vey is known in the industry as a high-quality material handling equipment supplier, but is not well known outside the industry. He said they wanted to expand into new markets and felt the transition needed a new name.
Larecy said the name was selected because the number 7 represents completeness and perfection. He said the number is also associated with intuition and wisdom and he wanted 7robotics to represent those characteristics as a company. Larecy said their team of experienced engineers will offer the best solutions in robotics and automation to new and existing customers.
