NEARLY 12.5 PERCENT OF BALLOTS TURNED BACK IN

Nearly 12.5 percent of ballots have been turned in for the May Primary Election in Douglas County as of Saturday.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that 10,239 ballots have been cast. That is about 1 percent ahead of the same time in 2018. Compared to the May 2016 presidential election, the participation rate is behind by around 2 percent.
Ballots are due back by Tuesday May 19th at 8:00 p.m. There is still time to mail them back in. They can also be taken to drop boxes located around the county. The list of locations is linked with this story at www.541radio.com: http://www.co.douglas.or.us/clerk/drop_site_locations.asp
