The City of Roseburg has begun constructing ADA upgrades in the downtown area.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said improvements include installing new sidewalk curb ramps that are ADA compliant. Johnson said the ramps are the latest project to improve pedestrian travel routes in the downtown area. Work should be completed by July 7th.
Approximately 22 curb ramps will be installed on these streets:
*Mosher Avenue
*Lane Avenue
*Cass Avenue
*Sheridan Street
*Kane Street
*Pine Street
*Rose Street
*Stephens Street
Johnson said construction will occur from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Downtown motorists should exercise caution, drive slowly, watch for signs and obey flagger commands. Where improvements are being made, crosswalks will be temporarily closed to foot traffic.
