One man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 11:30 a.m., the vehicles collided at the intersection of Old Highway 99 and Del Rio Road in Winchester. The report said one driver told a deputy that he had been waiting to turn onto Del Rio from the highway, and when the vehicle in front of him turned, he followed it. The other driver said he was heading southbound and had the green light as he went through the intersection.
One driver, a 70-year old Winchester man, was taken to Mercy Medical Center to be evaluated. The other motorist, a 39-year old Roseburg man, declined transportation and said he would seek medical attention on his own. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The driver that turned left in front of the other vehicle was cited for making a dangerous left turn.
