UMPQUA RESEARCH COMPANY EXPANDS

In the KQEN Business Spotlight:
Umpqua Research Company has announced its recent acquisition of Table Rock Analytical Laboratory, an accredited environmental testing laboratory in Pendleton. URC was founded in Myrtle Creek in 1973, and has expanded service to Bend, and Central Point as well.
A URC release said it is a small business that offers technical service in 4 primary areas:
*Drinking water and environmental analysis
*Air and water purification related engineering services
*Research and Development
*Oregon Department of Transportation materials testing
The organization was founded by David F. Putnam and Gerald V. Colombo. William F. Michalek currently serves as URC’s president.
The release said URC’s Analytical Services group offers a comprehensive list of microbiological and chemical analyses. Their services are routinely used to facilitate compliance with drinking water, wastewater, food safety, and storm water regulations. They also provide analytical services for home owners that are concerned with their drinking or irrigation water quality.
The acquisition of Table Rock Analytical Laboratory expands URC’s service area to all of Oregon, according to the release.
