CHAMBER ACCEPTING COMMUNITY BENEFIT PROJECT APPLICATIONS

August 2, 2019 3:45 a.m.
The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting community-benefit project applications for consideration by its 2019-20 class of Project Leadership.
Project Leadership is a professional leadership development program that helps increase participants knowledge about Roseburg and Douglas County and challenges them to become actively involved in the community. To do so, the class completes a service project for a local not-for-profit organization.
A release from the chamber said the service project should promote active involvement of class members in the planning, fundraising and development of the project. It must also involve collaboration with the non-profit organization applicant. The project must enhance or benefit the quality of life for residents in the county. The application process is open to any private and public non-profit organization that provides service or support to residents of Roseburg or of Douglas County.
The project must be completed during the class year that begins this September and concludes in May of 2020. Fundraising for the project cannot exceed $10,000 which includes monetary and in-kind contributions.
To request an application for an organization, or to ask additional questions, call the chamber office at 672-2648 extension 23. The deadline for submitting completed applications is August 25th.
