MOTORCYCLIST REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION

A motorcyclist hurt in a weekend wreck in Roseburg remains in critical condition at last check.
A Roseburg Police report said the accident happened Sunday night at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the corner of Garden Valley and Northeast Cedar. A motorcycle operated by 59-year old Jeffery Shipman had been attempting to make a turn from westbound Garden Valley to southbound Cedar when witnesses said the man lost control of the motorcycle which then hit the wall of a nearby business.
The rider was taken to Mercy Medical Center before being life-flighted to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.
The initial report said alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash. On Tuesday, Roseburg Police officials said they had no new information regarding the wreck.
