PEDESTRIAN HURT, HIT BY VEHICLE

A pedestrian was hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Myrtle Creek on Monday afternoon.
A report from Myrtle Creek Police said just before 4:00 p.m. a female driver pulled up to the mail box drop off at the town’s post office. She decided to back up after going up onto the curb. A man was walking behind the vehicle and the right rear bumper of the vehicle struck his left hip.
The victim said he was in a lot of pain but declined transport from medical. The victim said he would go to Mercy Medical Center in a private vehicle.
No citations were apparently issued, according to the report.
