Construction is underway in downtown Roseburg for the Phase III Lighting Improvement Project
A release from the City of Roseburg said the $423,000 urban renewal funded project, consists of retrofitting 61 existing lights with new energy efficient LED lightbulbs and globes, installation of 14 new street lights on Rose Street, Cass and Lane Avenues and replacing 19 existing light poles in the parking garage area. The release said the improvements are a continuation of the 2018 downtown improvement project and will result in energy savings from the LED lighting retrofits. The new lights on Rose, Cass and Lane will be installed using trenchless boring for the electrical wiring which reduces aesthetics impacts as well as minimal traffic impact.
All work will be completed by late August according to the release.
