2 people were hurt in a 3-vehicle accident Friday night along Highway 42 at the intersection with Strickland Canyon Road, between Winston and Tenmile.
A report from the Oregon State Police said at 5:30 p.m. a pickup was traveling west on Highway 42 and hit a 2nd pickup which was behind a 3rd pickup. The last vehicle was waiting for traffic to clear, so the driver could turn left onto Strickland Canyon Road. After the 2nd pickup was hit, it lunged forward and hit the 3rd pickup.
The report said the drivers of the 1st and 2nd pickups, a 70-year old man from Camas Valley and a 25-year old man from Eugene, were taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions have not been made available.
The first 2 pickups had to be towed from the scene.
