WOMAN JAILED FOR RESISTING ARREST

A Roseburg woman was jailed for resisting arrest on Monday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said just before 12:00 a.m. a report came in of a woman acting suspicious near the corner of Garden Valley and Estelle. When contacted the woman allegedly threw garbage on the ground and charged at an officer, lifting her hand up as if to strike him.
After a brief struggle, 30-year old Jessica Cook was taken into custody. She was also charged with interfering with a police officer and for offensive littering. After arraignment, Cook remained detained on $13,750 bail.
