STORM REHABILITATION PROJECT BEGINS ON MONDAY

July 5, 2019 9:30 a.m.
The City of Roseburg’s 2019 Storm Rehabilitation Project will begin with drain cleaning on Monday July 8th, on roughly 3,500 feet of existing storm drains city wide.
A release from the Public Works Department said the cleaning is in preparation for cured in place pipe liner installation. According to the release, CIPP is a cost-effective approach to extending the life of corroded and failing storm drains by more than 50 years. The process does not require trenching or excavation but will involve temporary traffic control for access to manholes.
The release said the project is expected to be completed by late in September.
The project is slated to be an ongoing annual activity. The release said it has proven to be effective in eliminating failed storm drains, sink holes, and road damages.
