A Roseburg man was jailed Wednesday, accused of assaulting a child.
Information from Roseburg Police, said officers arrived at a home in the 2000 block of Freemont at about 11:30 a.m. 23-year old Aaron Gier was arrested for allegedly hitting a 5-year old child in the head, which caused the child to fall to the ground. In addition, the man was reported to have kicked the child, which caused the victim to fall forward into a bed frame, resulting in an  injury to his mouth.
Gier was charged with felony assault and jailed on $50,000 bail.
