Douglas County Commissioner Tim Freeman is going to the White House on Monday.
Freeman told News Radio 1240 KQEN that he is part of a group of around a dozen people invited to join President Donald Trump as Trump is scheduled to make what are being called “Presidential Remarks on America’s Environmental Leadership” at 3:00 p.m.
Freeman said he is preparing talking points regarding information he hopes to share with President Trump. He said he wants to discuss forest management on federal land that is overseen by both the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Freeman also hopes to talk about changes he believes should be made with O&C lands and how they are managed.
Freeman said he believes the President wants to fix the problem and hopes to give his input on what the solutions might be.
Freeman will join News Radio 1240 KQEN next week after he gets back from the White House.
