MOWING ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED

The man who died in a mowing accident along Highway 42 on Tuesday has been identified.
At about 9:15 a.m. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a medical call on the highway, between Camas Valley and Tenmile. The preliminary investigation revealed that an employee with the Oregon Department of Transportation had been mowing adjacent to the eastbound shoulder, when the mower hit a man that is believed to have been sleeping in the grass.
First aid was attempted but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 49-year old Keith Ericson with last known addresses in Rapid City, South Dakota and Santa Monica, California.
