MAN JAILED ON DRUG, FORGERY CHARGES

A Lakewood, Washington man was arrested on drug and forgery charges following an investigation by Roseburg Police on Tuesday afternoon.
An RPD report said 32-year old Daniel Drake was contacted at a business on Northeast Stephens as a result of suspicious activity regarding numerous attempts to purchase equipment in the Roseburg area from several different businesses with apparently fraudulent VISA gift cards. The man was contacted at about 3:30 p.m. and was allegedly found to possess a small amount of heroin.
During a search of his vehicle, multiple forgery devices were reportedly found along with a number of related items. Drake was charged with unlawful possession of heroin, criminal possession of a forgery device, and for unlawful possession of a fictious ID. He was initially detained on $350,000 bail.
A 29-year old woman who was with him, was located again later in the evening and ultimately arrested for unrelated warrants out of two separate counties. She was taken to jail.
