RV BURNS, SPREADS TO WILDLAND

A recreational vehicle burned Tuesday night with the fire spreading to the nearby wildland area.

Scott Richardson of Douglas County Fire District No.2 said the fire began just before 8:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Kent Creek Road near Winston. Richardson said the RV was a total loss and the wildland area burned was kept to one-fifth of an acre. One person sustained some burns, but refused any medical treatment.

Crews with Fire District No.2 and the Winston-Dillard Fire Department were assisted by staff from the Douglas Forest Protective Association.

Richardson said the fire is under investigation.
