Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for alleged disorderly conduct Tuesday morning.

A DCSO report said just before 8:30 a.m. units were dispatched to the 200 block of Pruner Road in the Riddle area. Multiple people said that a man was jumping in and out of traffic repeatedly. Callers were concerned that the suspect was going to get hit.

Deputies contacted the man as he was walking down a nearby private road. When a deputy attempted to speak with him, the suspect appeared to be under the influence of an unidentified substance, was not coherent and was behaving extremely erratically. The man was told multiple times that he was under arrest and was instructed to place his hands behind his back, which he refused.

A deputy drew a taser and the suspect then began to follow commands and finally put his hands behind his back. While attempting to handcuff the man, he tensed up his muscles and could not be handcuffed. The suspect allegedly refused to comply with commands, as he was kicking and flailing his body. Deputies had to physically restrain him in order to finally get him into custody.

The 41-year old was charged with resisting arrest and for second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained without bail.
