The Three Rivers Foundation, established by the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians is set to award more than one million dollars to non-profit organizations.
The foundation is the charitable arm of its Three Rivers Casino Resort.
Tribal Council Member and Three Rivers Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Doug Barrett said, “It is important to us that we make an impact within our community and help organizations that work hard to get the extra funding they need to be successful”. Barrett said their board values the community and helping organizations that assist families and individuals.
The Tribe started the Foundation in October 2011. It supports areas such as education, health, public safety, the arts, cultural activities and more. Earlier this year, they awarded more than $1.4 million to over 100 nonprofits.
The next grant cycle has just begun and nonprofits located in Lane, Curry, Douglas, Lincoln and Coos counties are encouraged to apply. Those interested can review grant criteria and apply at: https://www.threeriversfoundation.org/apply-now.
