A driver apparently falling asleep led to a single vehicle wreck on Thursday night.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 6:15 p.m. a Washington state resident was headed south on Interstate Five when his sedan hit the center dividing barrier near the Harvard Avenue interchange. The vehicle came to rest blocking one lane of traffic. It was towed due to being a hazard.

The driver was given a courtesy ride to Love’s Truck Stop. He was issued a citation for careless driving.
