A woman was taken to the hospital following a Sunday night accident in north Douglas County.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 6:45 p.m. the driver of a sedan apparently hydroplaned on water in the road, and his vehicle hit the center concrete divider on Interstate 5 northbound near Salt Springs Road.

The sedan came to an uncontrolled rest on the shoulder and had heavy front-end damage. The driver was not hurt but the passenger was transported by ambulance to a hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
