Heavy rain led to mid-morning wrecks on Interstate 5 on Wednesday.

Information from Oregon State Police said just before 8:45 a.m. a northbound sedan was traveling too fast for roadway conditions, about a mile south of Winchester. The vehicle spun out and struck the concrete median on the shoulder before landing after going down a small embankment. The driver arranged to have the car towed.

Just after 9:30 a.m. a gray SUV was traveling northbound near the Garden Valley Boulevard interchange, also going too fast for the conditions. The vehicle hydroplaned and hit the concrete median, coming to rest on a lane of traffic. That caused another crash behind due to lane blockage. The SUV was towed from the scene.

No one was injured in either accident.
