Crews are making progress on all fires being handled by the Douglas Forest Protective Association.

Public Information Officer Rachael Pope said the Quiet Mountain Fire in the Camas Valley area is 100 percent trailed, with an entire compass hose-lay around the fire. Mop up is at 50 percent and is continuing.

Pope said the Bear Mountain Fire in the Callahan Mountains is fully trailed as well. It also has a hose-lay around the fire. There are no active flames and mop up is at 50 percent. Crews are extinguishing hot spots and smokes. An infrared camera is checking for additional hot spots.

Aerial reconnaissance continues on the Dutchman Complex. 2 new fires were detected during aerial surveillance Friday afternoon. Crews quickly responded and contained both. Each small fire is 100 percent trailed, contained and mopped up. Neither was more than 0.01 of an-acre. Both are located in the Thompson Creek area, on Buck Mountain. Pope said firefighters worked diligently through the day and have constructed line around every known fire in the complex.
