CANYONVILLE MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENTS

A Canyonville man was jailed for alleged assault incidents by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

A report from DCSO said about 3:00 p.m. the disturbance began in the 800 block of South Main Street. It got physical and the victim was hit in the head with something that created a large cut. The suspect left the residence and came back at about 6:30 p.m.

The suspect then reportedly went into a shop area and began breaking things. The victim came out and confronted the suspect with a pepper ball gun. He shot at the suspect once and then began running back to his house. The victim said while running, the man may have shot at him as he left the property.

The 28-year old suspect was taken into custody. He was charged with fourth-degrees assault and harassment and was detained without bail
