The Northwest Regional Primary Care Association selected Aviva Health as its 2022 Summit Award winner, at its annual spring conference on Monday.
NWRPCA’s work focuses on supporting and strengthening nearly one hundred community and migrant health centers operating in the northwest. The association said the Summit Award honors an individual or an organization in its membership that has reached a singular level of achievement in a particular area of expertise or service.
The Aviva release said the topic of this year’s award is employer of choice, which NWRPCA defines as an organization that offers an excellent and supportive work environment that contributes to positive employee satisfaction and retention rates. More specifically, this year aimed to select a health center that during the COVID-19 pandemic went above and beyond to support and retain staff.
The release said Aviva Health has implemented a variety of employee-support initiatives since the beginning of the pandemic, all of them focused on building resilience among its staff, recognizing and celebrating their efforts to address the needs of the community during COVID-19 and buoying them at home and work during a very challenging time.
Aviva CEO KC Bolton said their staff has worked long hours throughout the pandemic caring for the community, so it was a priority to make sure their people were also cared for. Bolton said, “To be recognized by NWRPCA is a true honor and reflection of our team”.
The release said in addition to being selected by NWRPCA as its Employer of Choice Summit Award winner, Aviva Health has been tabbed as Douglas County’s Favorite Place to Work for the past two years in The News Review Reader’s Choice voting.
