A Wind Advisory is in effect for much of southern Oregon from 11:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. Friday.

An Urgent Weather Message from the National Weather Service said southwest winds of fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour with gusts up to forty-five miles per hour are expected.

Forecasters said the Advisory area includes central and eastern Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County. This applies to Interstate Five and includes Roseburg, Grants Pass and Medford.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
