Roseburg Police jailed a man for accusations of criminal mischief on Saturday.
The RPD report said at about 9:45 a.m. officers contacted the suspect after he was allegedly damaging property at Brown Park at the corner of West Harvard Avenue and West Francis Street. An on-duty firefighter said he watched the 28-year old damage the wooden fence located in front of the park.
The suspect also broke off a large branch of a tree at the south end of the park. Officers eventually took the man into custody without incident and transported him to Corrections.
The suspect was also held for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
