The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Access and Habitat Program and the Rogue Valley Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association is working C2 Cattle Company to offer 6 youth the opportunity to hunt spring turkeys on its ranch near Medford.

An ODFW release said to be eligible those applying must have a valid hunting license and spring turkey tag. Youth hunters enrolled in the Mentored Youth Hunter Program can apply but cannot hunt on Youth Weekend, which is April 9th and 10th.

Winning youth get a one-day guided hunt and an additional unguided day if needed on the C2 Ranch. C2 provides the guide, and a parent or other unarmed adult may accompany the youth hunter. The ranch coordinates the hunts and tries to accommodate requests for hunting dates to the best of their ability.

The C2 Cattle Company is a 10,000-acre ranch just 25 minutes each of Medford.
