OHA reported 43,606 new cases of COVID-19 during the week of Monday January 24th through Sunday January 30th. That was a 22 percent decline from last week, and the lowest weekly total in 4 weeks.
There were 739 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations, a 13.9 percent increase over the previous week. COVID-19 related deaths more than doubled to 147 for the week.
OHA said reported COVID-19 tests dropped by 14 percent. Test positivity declined slightly from 24.5 percent to 22.6 percent. There were 249,556 tests administered.
The COVID-19 Weekly Outbreak Report shows 310 total active outbreaks in care facilities, senior living communities and congregate living settings with 3 or more confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1 or more COVID-19 related deaths. That is up from 273 last week. The report is linked:
